Passengers flying with Virgin Australia are permitted to bring the following items:

Carry-On Allowance

Passengers are allowed to bring one small bag and one personal item on board.

The carry-on bag must meet the following requirements:

- Maximum Dimensions: 23 cm x 34 cm x 48 cm (105 linear cm / 41 in)
- Maximum Combined Carry-On Weight: 7 kg / 15 lb

If you're carrying a suit pack or garment bag, it should be non-rigid and unfolded, and must adhere to the following requirements:

- Maximum Dimensions: 11 cm x 60 cm x 114 cm (185 linear cm / 73 in)

Additionally, the following items are permitted:

- Laptop computer, handbag, pocketbook, or purse
- Overcoat, wrap, or blanket
- Umbrella without metal points or walking stick
- Small camera or pair of binoculars
- Infant food for consumption during the flight
- Pair of crutches or prosthetic devices if they are essential for your mobility

REMINDER: Bulkhead seats do not have under-seat storage during takeoff and landing.

Excess & Oversized Baggage

- Oversized baggage is permitted as long as each item does not exceed 32 kg in weight. If an item exceeds 32 kg, it must be shipped as freight.
- Non-standard baggage items, such as musical instruments, that are not sporting equipment or infant items are weighed at check-in and charged based on their actual weight.
- Wheelchairs and mobility aids required for personal use are free of charge.
- Passengers are allowed to check in one car seat or booster seat per child traveling, free of charge.
