Alaska Airlines allows passengers to bring the following items:
Checked Baggage Allowance
The checked baggage allowance on Alaska Airlines depends on the fare type and
the destination of your flight. The general guidelines are as follows:
1. Main Cabin (Saver Fare): Passengers with Main Cabin Saver fares do not
receive a complimentary checked bag. They can purchase a checked bag at an
additional cost.
2. Main Cabin (Standard Fare): Passengers with Main Cabin Standard fares are
allowed one complimentary checked bag. The maximum weight allowed per bag is
typically 50 pounds (23 kilograms), and the maximum linear dimensions (length +
width + height) are typically 62 inches (157 centimeters).
3. First Class and Premium Class: Passengers traveling in First Class or Premium
Class usually receive two complimentary checked bags. The weight and size limits
are generally the same as for Main Cabin passengers.
Please note that these allowances may vary depending on your specific ticket,
fare class, Mileage Plan status, or other factors. Additionally, fees may apply
for additional or overweight/oversized bags. It's always advisable to check the
airline's website or contact their customer service directly for the most
accurate and up-to-date information.
Carry-on Baggage Allowance
Alaska Airlines allows passengers to bring one carry-on bag and one personal
item on board. The general guidelines for carry-on baggage are as follows:
1. Carry-on Bag: The maximum dimensions for a carry-on bag are typically 22
inches x 14 inches x 9 inches (56 centimeters x 35 centimeters x 23
centimeters). This bag should be small enough to fit in the overhead bin.
2. Personal Item: In addition to the carry-on bag, passengers can bring one
personal item such as a purse, laptop bag, or small backpack. The dimensions for
a personal item are usually around 17 inches x 13 inches x 10 inches (43
centimeters x 33 centimeters x 25 centimeters). This item should fit under the
seat in front of you.
Please note that excess baggage fees may apply if you exceed the baggage
allowance. Again, please note that these allowances may be subject to change, it's always best to check your specific allowance for your itinerary
