Air New Zealand Limited (NZX: AIR) serves as the national carrier of New
Zealand, operating out of Auckland. As of mid-2025, the airline offers scheduled passenger
flights to 20 domestic destinations and 30 international destinations across 18
countries in the Pacific Rim region.
Air New Zealand primarily focuses its route network on Australasia and the South
Pacific, while also providing long-haul services to eastern Asia, the Americas,
and the United Kingdom. Notably, it held the distinction of being the last
airline to complete global circumnavigation with flights to London Heathrow
Airport via both Los Angeles and Hong Kong. However, the Hong Kong – London
route was discontinued in March 2013, as Air New Zealand opted for a codeshare
agreement with Cathay Pacific instead.
The company's headquarters, known as "The Hub," is situated in Auckland's
Wynyard Quarter, approximately 20 km (12 mi) away from Auckland Airport.
Auckland Airport serves as Air New Zealand's primary hub and is located in the
southern region of the Auckland urban area, near Mangere.
