United Airlines offers a comprehensive Lost and Found service to help passengers
recover items misplaced on board, at the airport, or in United Club lounges. If
you leave something on a United flight, your first step should be to contact the
Lost and Found office at your arrival airport, as recovered items are usually
turned over to local airport authorities.
At Chicago O’Hare International Airport, United’s primary hub, the Lost and
Found office is located within the terminal facilities. Passengers can also
submit a Lost Item Report online through the United Airlines website. When
completing the report, it is important to include details such as flight number,
date of travel, seat number, and a clear description of the item.
For belongings lost at other airports, passengers are advised to contact the
respective airport’s Lost and Found department directly. Items left in United
Club lounges can be reported to lounge staff or through United’s customer
service channels.
To increase the likelihood of recovery, United recommends reporting lost items
promptly. Once located, items can usually be arranged for pickup or shipped to
the passenger, depending on local regulations. United’s customer service team
and global contact centers are available around the clock to assist.
If you require additional assistance, it's best to contact United Airlines'
customer service team for further information.
