United Airlines offers various convenient check-in options for passengers.
Here is a reiteration of the check-in options provided:
Online check-in (Web check-in)
Passengers can check-in online starting 24 hours before the scheduled departure
time and ending 60 minutes before (depending on the departure city and
destination). This allows passengers to receive a mobile boarding pass on their
mobile device or a printable boarding pass. This option is available for
passengers with an electronic ticket on United Airlines, and they can access
their reservation using the confirmation code, e-ticket number, or frequent
flyer account.
Mobile Check-in
Passengers can check-in for their flight using their mobile device starting 24
hours before the scheduled departure time and ending 60 minutes before
(depending on the departure city and destination). This allows passengers to
receive a mobile boarding pass on their mobile device. The requirements and
eligibility criteria are similar to online check-in, and the departure airport
should accept mobile boarding passes.
Curbside Check-in
At most U.S. airport locations, passengers can check-in for their flight
curbside from 30 minutes to 4 hours before the scheduled departure time
(depending on the departure city and destination). Passengers need to present
their photo ID and flight reservation code, flight number, destination, or
electronic ticket number for check-in. The exact list of participating airports
and minimum check-in times can be found on the United Airlines website.
Self-service Kiosk Check-in
Passengers can check-in for their flight using self-service kiosks at the
airport from 30 minutes to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time
(depending on the departure city and destination). This allows passengers to
receive a printed boarding pass.
Ticket Counter Check-in
Passengers can check-in for their flight at the airport ticket counter from 30
minutes to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time (depending on the
departure city and destination). This allows passengers to receive a printed
boarding pass.
Voice Check-in
Passengers within the U.S. or Canada with less than 10 people in their party can
perform voice check-in over the phone by calling 1-800-864-8331. This option is
available for those who don't have access to the internet or a mobile device. By
using voice check-in, passengers can inform the number of bags they want to
check, hear baggage service charges, and arrange for boarding documents to be
delivered by email or picked up at an airport kiosk.
Auto Check-in
Eligible passengers have the option to select Auto Check-in for the remaining
segment or a return flight when checking in for the first segment of their
flight. When the remaining segment or return flight is within the 24-hour
window, Auto Check-in will automatically check them in for the flight.
Passengers can choose their preferred method of receiving the boarding pass,
such as by email or mobile device.
