Singapore Airlines offers flexible options for ticket cancellation and refunds,
depending on the fare type, route, and reason for cancellation. Passengers can
cancel their bookings online through the Singapore Airlines website, via the
mobile app, or by contacting Singapore Airlines customer service or the travel
agency where the ticket was purchased.
Refund eligibility is determined by the fare conditions. Fully refundable fares
allow cancellation with little to no penalty, while non-refundable fares may
only provide refunds for certain taxes or under exceptional circumstances, such
as medical reasons or government-imposed travel restrictions. In some cases,
passengers may be offered a travel voucher instead of a cash refund.
For bookings made directly with Singapore Airlines, refund requests can be
submitted online using the “Manage Booking” tool. Refunds are generally
processed within 7 to 21 business days, depending on the original payment
method. Tickets purchased through third-party agents must be refunded through
those agents.
Passengers are strongly advised to review the fare rules of their ticket before
proceeding with cancellation. In the event of a flight disruption caused by
Singapore Airlines, such as an airline-initiated cancellation, travelers are
entitled to a full refund or complimentary rebooking.
Additionally, Singapore Airlines provides a 24-hour risk-free cancellation
policy for certain routes, allowing passengers to receive a full refund if the
booking is canceled within 24 hours of purchase.
If you require additional assistance, it's best to contact Singapore Airlines'
customer service team for further information.
