American Airlines provides a dedicated Lost and Found service to assist
passengers in recovering belongings left on board, at the airport, or in
lounges. If you misplace an item during your journey, the first step is to
contact the Lost and Found office at your arrival airport, as all recovered
items are usually handed over to the airport authorities.
At major hubs in the United States, including Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Miami
(MIA), and Charlotte (CLT), Lost and Found offices are located within the
terminal arrival areas. Passengers may also file a Lost Item Report online
through the American Airlines website, where details such as flight number,
travel date, seat number, and a description of the item are required.
For items lost in Admirals Club or Flagship Lounges, inquiries can be directed
to the lounge staff or American Airlines customer service. If the item was left
at a non-U.S. airport, passengers should reach out to the respective airport’s
Lost and Found department.
To maximize recovery chances, American Airlines advises reporting lost items as
soon as possible. Once located, items can be retrieved in person or shipped to
the passenger, depending on local airport policies and regulations.
If you require additional assistance, it's best to contact American Airlines'
customer service team for further information.
