Online Web Check-in

- Available from 24 hours before the flight until the check-in deadline.
- Passengers can check in online and purchase travel options.
- Boarding passes can be printed at home or at an airport kiosk, or sent to a mobile device.
- Checked bags can be tagged at an airport kiosk, and then passengers proceed to Baggage Drop-off.

Mobile Check-in

- Available from 24 hours before the flight until the check-in deadline.
- Passengers can check in using their mobile devices and purchase travel options.
- Boarding passes can be received on the phone via email or SMS, or printed at an airport kiosk.
- Checked bags can be tagged at an airport kiosk, and then passengers proceed to Baggage Drop-off.

Airport Self-Serve Kiosk

- Available from 12 hours before the flight until the check-in deadline.
- Passengers can check in at a self-serve kiosk and purchase travel options.
- Boarding passes can be printed or sent to a mobile device.
- Checked bags can be tagged, and then passengers proceed to Baggage Drop-off.

During check-in, Air Canada offers various services:

- Purchase of standard or Preferred seats.
- Declaration of the number of checked bags and payment of baggage fees.
- Same-day change or stand-by for an earlier flight (if eligible).
- Upgrade requests using eUpgrade credits or Add-ons (when available).
- Last-minute upgrades (when available).
- Addition, renewal, or change of Aeroplan or other frequent flyer number.
- Boarding pass sent to a mobile device.
- Access to Air Canada's Delayed and Cancelled Flight Service in case of severe weather disruptions.

It's important to note that if a passenger has checked in online or via mobile check-in and wants to cancel their check-in, they can do so from 24 hours before departure until the check-in deadline, as long as no bag tags have been printed.

There are specific cases where passengers need to check in with an airport agent, including:

- Children traveling with the Unaccompanied Minor service.
- Customers requiring medical assistance, wheelchair usage, or with special requests in their reservation.
- Passengers traveling with pets in the cabin or baggage compartment.
