Air Canada allows passengers to bring the following items:
Carry-on Baggage
Regardless of the destination, passengers traveling with Air Canada can bring 1
standard article and 1 personal article as carry-on baggage.
The standard article should weigh no more than 10 kg (22 lbs) and have
dimensions not exceeding 23 x 40 x 55 cm (9 x 15.5 x 21.5 inches). Additionally,
one personal item with maximum dimensions of 16 x 33 x 43 cm (6 x 13 x 17
inches) is permitted.
Passengers can also bring additional items such as a diaper bag, pushchair, or
small purse, not exceeding 25 x 30 x 14 cm (10 x 12 x 5.5 inches).
Passengers traveling with an infant who does not occupy their own seat may carry
one additional standard cabin bag for the child's belongings. If traveling with
an infant under two years of age on their lap, an additional standard item of
hand luggage is allowed for the infant's belongings.
Musical instruments can be brought on board as part of the standard carry-on
allowance if they fit within the allowed dimensions and can be stored in the
overhead locker or under the seat in front. If the instrument is too large, a
seat can be purchased for it, receiving a 50% discount on any published fare.
The instrument must not exceed 162.5 cm (64 in) in length or 36 kg (80 lbs) in
weight.
Checked Baggage Allowance
The maximum weight per bag for checked baggage is 23 kg (50 lbs) with a total
